The purpose of the Journal of Chest and Lung Research is to disseminate original research articles that focus on pulmonary diseases in both humans and animals as well as recent developments in the area. With the rising trends in lung diseases in recent years due to ever-increasing pollution as well as other reasons, effective diagnosis, management, and treatment of pulmonary diseases have become a crucial necessity.
Journal Highlights:
Lobectomy: The removal of a lung lobe during surgery is known as a lobectomy. In cases of early-stage lung cancer, it is done to remove a piece of the diseased lung. A lobectomy can help cure conditions like fungal infection, emphysema, and tuberculosis in addition to cancer.
Pleural Effusion: a collection of fluid between the lungs and the chest's lining tissues. It is possible for fluid to build up around the lungs as a result of inflammation or inadequate cardiac pumping. Coughing, severe chest pain, or shortness of breath are symptoms.
Pulmonary Shunt: Blood moving from right to left through heart apertures or in pulmonary arteriovenous malformations causes a pulmonary shunt. Deoxygenated blood leaves the lungs and travels through the pulmonary veins to the heart as a result of the shunt, which means V/Q = 0 for that specific area of the lung field under discussion.
Aim and scope
The Journal of Chest and Lung Research was formed on two guiding principles: to make recent research articles available for free use in research, instruction, and reference. This enables anybody to reproduce, share, transmit, and modify the work as long as the source and original work are properly attributed. All publications that are published will receive a DOI from Crossref. To address the problems and difficulties in this area, the journal seeks submissions that highlight scientific and medical developments, such as the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary disorders.
Guidelines for authors: Submissions will be assessed based on their merit and veracity in the scientific community. Manuscripts are accepted with the requirement that all content—aside from abstracts—will only be submitted to the Journal of Chest and Lung Research and that it has never been published previously or is not presently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
